Fred Borden is the head instructor at Renzo Gracie Seattle. He was born and raised in New York City. He began his Jiu-jitsu career training under the respected John Danaher. He has also trained alongside UFC stars Georges St. Pierre, Chris Weidman and Frankie Edgar. From 2008-2012 Fred served as a teacher's assistant at the legendary Renzo Gracie Academy, teaching alongside several black belts including Daniel Gracie. In 2018 he was awarded his black belt by Renzo Gracie. In addition to the Renzo Gracie Academy, he also trained at the New York Athletic Club's (NYAC) prestigious wrestling program where he developed much of his takedown game.

Josh Prado is the assistant instructor at Renzo Gracie Seattle. He is a Renzo Gracie brown belt and wrestler born and raised in New York City.  He began his jiu-jitsu career under Daniel Gracie, Leo Leonardo Leite, and John Danaher in the legendary blue basement at Renzo Gracie Academy NYC.  

Josh first began wrestling at Phillips Exeter Academy, a highly selective, prestigious private preparatory school located in Exeter, New Hampshire.  During his four year tenure on their powerhouse wrestling team, Exeter’s Big Red won three New England titles.  He continued his career at Wesleyan University for multiple time New England Wrestling Association Coach of the Year and the winningest coach in school history, Drew Black.  In 2005, Josh contributed to the team Scholar All-American honor.
